2006 Spring Event Kick-Off		1st Place Winner: "Otherwise"
	Otherwise wins $10,000 and advances to the Fall Season of The Indie Show.

The 2006 season kickoff was a big success! Nine finalists competed May 21st at the Empire Ballroom in Las Vegas for a chance at $10,000 and a place in a regional event in 2007. The two runners up: Big Bad Zero and Vougeot will also advance to a regional event. Regional event winners will advance to one of 3 National events with winners of the nationals advancing to the Fall Season television event.The Fall Season Show will feature 24 acts over a 13 week period. Eight in each of 3 genres: Alternative/Rock, Country/Bluegrass, and R&B/Pop/Hiphop. Entrants compete in their own genre. The winner of each genre will receive an expense paid stay in Las Vegas for two weeks and 40 hours of recording time at a modern fully equipped recording studio. The Indie Show will provide engineer and producer. The mastered recording will be shopped for the artists at major labels by the management company Independent Entertainment. We would like to thank all the final nine contestants of the kickoff, as well as all that entered in 2005 and all the artists that advanced from our roadshow in 2006 to regional events this year. There were a lot of great and talented artists and bands. The Independent Radio Network is determined to bring a unity to the unsigned artist and independent radio stations and websites. IRN is in the process of adding thousands of Independent web-sites to our network. Links for these sites will appear here in the weeks to come. Independent sites will be able to provide their artist's weekly stats to IRN for world ranking. The top 25 artists receiving the highest ranks worldwide will be featured in the live radio broadcast of The Indie Show Top 25 unsigned countdown Monday mornings. In addition, IRN will be producing the top 20 unsigned video countdown and host show by summer's end. The video host show will not only countdown the top videos but will feature live in studio performances by guest independent bands and in studio interviews. It will be something to look forward to.
